About

Fred Licciardi’s writing style represents a cross section of Americana, influenced by rock, jazz and country. His songs are lyrically based with an emphasis on emotion and meaning. He maintains diversity in chord patterns and structure with styles ranging from slow ballads to powerful rockers. Inspiration comes from the joys and heartbreaks accumulated throughout his personal life. His music reflects interactions with family and friends, and his patients.

Born on the Island of Manhattan, Fred grew up in the forested rural spaces of New Jersey. He studied classical and jazz piano and picked up the guitar along the way, then spent additional years undertaking formal voice instruction. He is a physician and professor at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where he proudly counsels and treats women suffering from infertility. His other interests include downhill skiing, surfing and golf.

This album was recorded at Nashville’s iconic Sound Stage Studio with a super group of an A-list musicians who have been on too many hit records to list. Produced by Ilya Toshinskiy, who also played guitar and mandolin. Other band members include Tim Lauer on keyboards, Chris McHugh on drums, Sol Philcox-Littlefield on electric guitar, and Craig Young on bass. Mixed by Mike Proctor with vocal production and back ups by Brad Winters. Tracked by Joel McKenney and mastered by the legendary Greg Calib.

Special thanks to those who believed and supported me in this endeavor including my wife Josephine, kids Julia and Michael, the rest of my sizable family. Thanks to some close friends; Jon Regan, Dino D'Onofrio and Judy Hages.
